i have just recived a mp3 but no idea how to download songs from my media player on to it ? , i downloaded the driver disc from it but now i am stuck , please help

Your question doesn't make sense. An MP3 IS a recording, and you can play that in media player.

Audio tracks you want to play on your MP3 player, need to be in a format it can play.

You need an audio ripper to convert between audio formats. There are now many free versions available that will convert CD tracks (CDA) into audio that is compatible with your player (e.g WMA) � you might need to select a sample rate compatible with the player, but otherwise it is a fairly simple thing to do (convert between audio formats), with the right software.
It`s ages since I last used my mp3 player, but if I remember correctly, I just plugged it in, pressed sync in media player, then either right clicked the songs to send to mp3 or dragged and dropped them to the sync list.
