Nokia 6500 Slide

To anyone that has the above phone - what are your opinions of it?
I've had mine since January and have had problem after problem with it, just wondering if I've got a bad handset!

Mine is fine, although sometimes the screen vanishes when i go online, also, for some bizarre reason the ringtone reverts back to the nokia tune for no apparent reason and my wallpaper also goes back to the one it initailly came with now and again!

Apart from them faults its great! Im not a fan of these flimsy little wafer thin phones.

I've had all those problems and more besides. Obviously just a bad model of phone if everyone's having the same problems

sounds like it, what other problems have you had?

Oh and also i have a daily reminder set at 11:30AM which went off at midnight last week LOL

i dont mind i can deal with them faults.. the PS3 that came with it more than makes up for them :)

biggest problem I've found is the charger. You can't have a desktop with them, you can't have a data cable and charger at the same time and the battery life is rubbish. Other than that I'm a big Nokia fan!

All those problems you mentioned Prangy, about it resetting itself happens about every two days.

The screen goes blank and then it behaves as if it is turning itself on again, which can take up to 5 minutes.

If the phone switches itself off or is switched off, it takes 10 minutes to get into either the message storage or the contacts list. Sometimes it then switches itself off again, taking the same amount of time to sort itself out again!

Recently it took me an hour to get it switched on and into the text messages as it just kept "rebooting" itself before I could get into anything.

It randomly freezes during calls or when not doing anything and cannot be switched off. During this time all calls are referred to voicemail. The battery then has to be removed to get the phone to turn off. This often happens when someone sends me a text.

It no longer texts me to tell me that I have a voicemail message, as it used to (although this could be an 02 problem rather than a nokia problem admittedly)

Can't wait til my contract is up and I get a new phone!
