house alarm fault.

Hi my home is fitted with a Response RE 300 wireless alarm system.Occasionally the control unit stops picking up signals from sensors and the hand held remote control unit, although all batteries are fine.Usually after mains power is switched off and the internal battery disconnected for a few hours it will work perfectly again when re-connected sometimes for months on end without any problems.Just lately though the problem seems to be happening more frequently. Has anyone had a similar problem and can advise? Thanks.
