HP 'moon' key

I have an HP p.c. I accidently pressed a key with a moon shape on it and this had the effect of turning off the screen. Pressing the moon key again did not turn it back on again. Does anyone know how to get the screen to come back on without turning off the p.c ?

press the power button briefly and it should come back
