i have just encountered a boot up problem on my pc The screen initally comes up with a logo and then hangs on a flashing cursor screen. The keyboard appears to be recognised because the num lock and caps keys turn the lights on and off on the keybard.

When it boots, hit pause/break on your keyboard and keep pressing enter to go through each stage of POST (Power On Self Test) and the bott sequence manually. Let me know how far it gets...
