itunes???

hey everyone, have just got a new laptop and would like to transfer my itunes from my old one to this one in order to save me having to upload all my albums again.

how do i do this?

You don't say whether you're on Mac or PC. On a Mac it's easy, you simply use the migration assistant software built and it will make sure all your files, passwords, settings etc are carried over .

On a PC though, sorry can't help.

I did this a while ago from my PC to Laptop! It's easier to do if you have an external hard drive.

Go into 'My Documents' and locate the iTunes folder. (Should be in the 'Music' folder!)

Drag this folder onto the external hard drive and download the latest version of itunes on the laptop. Leave the blank version of iTunes open and drag your iTunes folder into it. It'll take a while to load up if you have alot on there!

Once this is complete, click ' Consolodate' in the advanced tab in iTunes and this will copy everything into the 'Music' folder on your laptop. All done!

Again this could take time depending on how much music you have!
