Toshiba wireless laptop.

My friend bought one of these a couple of months ago, but it keeps going "dead" on her. When this happens during emailing or a chat, you can imagine how irritating it is. Anyone have any idead what might be causing it? Thanks.

When you say dead do you mean that the internet connection dies? Maybe theres something wrong witht the router, or the laptop is struggling to receive a signal?

9 times out of 10 I've found that as long as the signal level for the wireless is OK then changing the wireless channel on the router from automatic to a fixed channel up in one of the higher channels (10,11,12 or 13) solves that problem.
