Can anyone explain to me the differance between an LCD tv and a Plasma screen TV...Which is best?

i have heard that lcd is better but cannot provide evidence to explain why. always get the relevant mags if you are planning on a purchase as these will explain in some detail which models are the best and why

Generally they are not comparable. LCDs only go up to around 30", plasma do 40" and above. If you want a big tv you need a plasma, if you want a small one lcd

A Plasma tv works off Gas Tubes.Hence why the screen gets hot after a while.At one time there was no way you could refill these tubes i don't know if that is still the case.Lcd seems to be the way forward.
