Portable DAB in car
6 Answers
I do a lot of driving for my work and am thinking of getting a personal dab radio for the car as I like 6 music and other digital only stations.
I have an aux socket on my car stereo so not probs there but was wondering if anyone has tried driving around in the UK whilst listening to DAB radio?
What's the coverage like and would a portable DAB radio get good enough reception whilst driving?
Any info appreciated. Cheers.

Good point (finally :-) about the in-car reception, looks like it's a non starter then but, just for completeness...
Anybody know what the general DAB coverage is like in the UK? I've seen the DAB coverage map but anybody have any practical experience of listening while on the move?

I used to have a Sony DAB radio/cd player in my old car. They didn't use the existing radio aerial, instead they put a internal aerial up the windscreen on the passenger side.
Reception was generally good but some stations did suffer from reception. I do miss DAB radio whilst travelling though but since they stopped broadcasting Capital Life I'm not that bothered anyway.
