Updates

This last few days ther seems to be updates every time I start the computer .Im running vista are these necesssary .Can I stop these .as it takes a long time to get on line .

What sort of updates? Are they Windows or installed program updates?
I am also on Vista and haven't had notification of Windows updates since midweek.

Dont exactly know it says about 3 updates have to be configurated and dont switch of computer..

I had 3 Vista updates on Thurs. Didn't take all that long.

You do need to keep your computer up to date. Both benign and malevolent hackers are constantly trying to find vulnerabilities in Windows. As they are discovered Microsoft issues changes to close the hole.

If you don't patch the holes you may be vulnerable.
