Firefox crashing

When I download a picture from the internet it is fine, and then I download a second picture and this causes Firefox to crash. I then re-start Firefox and the cycle repaets itself over and over.

I use Vista with Norton protection.

Any ideas and solutions?

Same thing happens to me. I've got AVG and Zone Alarm, which seem to work fine, but if I'm on the net with several links open every now and then I close one window and the whole lot goes. Doesn't happen every time. Maybe once every ten minutes. Real pain in the backside. Any suggestions would be welcome.

either click on tool menu, then add-ons then click on the extensions tab and disable all add-ons.

if that cures the problem start re enabling them one at a time to see which one is the problem.

if that doesn't cure it I would suggest removing firefox and then download and reinstall it.
