Anyone tried Internet Explorer 8 Beta yet? Just tried it today but Answerbank seems to need to be run in 'Compatibility Mode' otherwise there isn't a scroll down bar.

What they are doing is offering a Beta version. That is a version which is not intended as a finished product, but as a test of the current in-development product, in order to discover and iron out the bugs. If you decide to install Beta software, you can't really complain when it doesn't work properly.

Thanks folks - just what I was thinking - how come Microsoft can't be compatible with the rest of the Internet.
A word of warning. If you try IE8 and then don't like it, DO NOT USE SYSTEM RESTORE to go back to IE7.
You must UNINSTALL IE8 to go back.
I didn't do that and got one h*ll of a mess. IE7 just wouldn't work! Luckily I had another browser (Firefox) which allowed me to download IE7 and find out how to uninstall IE7 before re-installing it.
One word of warning to Firefox users though see this link:-

For now, I'll stick with IE7 (doh!) even though I occasionally use Firefox and have dablled with Google Chrome.
PS. IE8 did seem to be faster than IE7.
