I'm taking my new laptop abroad and hoping to be able to watch TV programmes via the BBC iPlayer etc whilst away.
Has anyone experience of doing this?

iPlayer won't work from a foreign IP address, and although some may say you can use a UK based proxy to get round that restriction in practice you will find that most proxys have been blocked by iPlayer already and even if you find one that isn't then it almost certainly won't be fast enough to deal with streaming video.
