Searches on google being over run

hi I have spybot search and destroy cos Bez sent it me and when i run it it gets rid of loads of cookies that are internet explorer trackers or something, is this why when i use google or windowslive search the searches go all hunny and end up just at like indexes and lists of links? the message in the seacrh box says jump sometimes too and it takes 2 or 3 re-searches to get to the actual site i want rather than just a list of links

I have Spybot Search and Destroy, (my mate Bez sent me the prog.)
When I tun it it finds lots of cookies which it removes and the report says they are IE trackers
Is this why, when I put a search word in Google, instead of a list of links on Google coming up, I get redirected to various other search sites with links?
