Sony Ericsson K800i Mobile - set up to take voice messages

How do you set up the above mobile to take voice messages on that phone if you are unavailable or busy? The manual says to input a telephone number, I have tried putting my mobile no in but it does not work.

Doesnt it have to be set up with your provider? eg orange or Tmobile or O2?
I have to do mine through orange network

Your right, just gave them a call and was told to dial 1750 and it will automatically set it up for me.
