pictures on my pc

I use windows photo gallery to upload all my photos from my camera where they are stored in folders. Since I have owned my laptop I have been able to use a programme called windows media center to view them ( I love this application) as I visit lots of elderly relatives and it produces a lovely slide show on full screen.
since Christmas when I use windows media center it tells me there are no photos to view - although I have not lost any photos ( they are still in windows photo gallery) - it seems there is a vital link missing - can anyone help me re-connect this link

Haven`t got media centre myself, but is there not a tools option in there, giving option to import files?

thanks trish432 this didn't help but at least you took the time to reply - I thought everyone was a computer buff out there - but it seems no one can help me !!
