Viewing old film

My question relates to old technology. I have come across some rolls of cine film dating back to the late 1930's/early 1940's. The film is about 9.5mm wide with single sprocket holes along the centre spaced every 8mm. The metal cases have the name "Pathescope" on them, and a series of British patent numbers the first of which is 169976.
Needless to say, I have no compatible projector, so I wondered if anyone out there has suggestions as to how this film can be viewed, or failing that, could point me in the direction of an information source. Any help would be gratefully received.
