DVD+RW How to delete when finalised

50 DVD+RW discs were finalised simply by watching them on a portable player (which was why I recorded the programmes).
They all still play back in my recorder BUT the little arrow that leads me to the menu that includes 'delete' won't appear.
I've tried the 'edit' facility BUT a little red circle appears which means 'No Access'Please can someone help me!
