i'm having difficulty getting a nokia classic unlocked to work on orange. i have tried lots of places that all say the need a special machine type thing and that the phone will have to be sent away to manchester for unlocking. i really dont want to send it away, does anyone know where this mystery unlocking place in manchester is so i can go in person?

I paid a guy to unlock my classic and he failed. (6500) After 4 fails you're prevented from trying again. His said that it was too new and the unlock software out there isn't capable so it can only be done with a cable wich is why they want the phone. This wouldn't be necessary if you follow same route I did. I bought a turbo Sim from ebay for about �4 and it worked immediately. I wasn't really convinced it would but it did so without a problem.

a guy already tried some turbo sims in a shop near me and it still didn't work :(
if anyone knows where i can find a shop with a cable, please please let me know. i am prepared to travel rather than send it away.
