Hi - I've got a fairly elderly laptop which I used to take around with me (I used to house-sit for people) which I had a 3G/GPRS card I used with it . Having stopped doing that job I cancelled the contract for the card. Now I'm going to be away for a week in Feb and want to take my laptop with me. I've been looking at pay as you go broadband, and both 3 and O2 do a no contract deal. My question is would either of these two wireless dongles work anywhere (provided decent reception) or do they have to be near hotspots? Also the "3" dongle is 48.93 and the "O2" is 29.35 - why the price difference? I'd be very grateful for advice. Thanks
Thanks Ethel - my mobile phone doesn't work in lots of places in Devon, but fortunately I'm going to be staying near Guildford which hopefully has better reception.
