I use Avira pro and found it excellent. It's just an anti-virus prog though if you have the free version and possibly some of the 231 are malware not virus'.
The thing with these programs like Reg Cleaner is that they will tell you that you have stuff you shouldn't have and then try to get you to buy it in order to get rid of them. It's possible you have no errors at all. Registry is best left alone unless you'r an expert.
If you have malware then malwarebytes is terrific, it's free and works alongside Avira without conflict. Give it a try but I wouldn't let anything calling itself "Reg anything" anywhere near your computer
