realistically you can use the speakers but you're probably going to have a problem powering them.  You'd probably need to put them through an amp to get enough power, as your PC won't normally deliver enough.  The problem there is what connections you have in the PC for connecting-there you lose me.

If you have a surround sound, there is normally a subbox, This powers the satelite speakers.
