Remote + altering picture settings on Techwood 32722HD TV

The remote control for my Techwood (made by Phillips according to Sky Engineer) 32722HD TV has stopped working.

I have tried changing the batteries, but that hasn't made the slightest difference! Am I right in concluding that it now needs replacing? If so, can anyone please recommend a good site for getting one?

I now have Sky HD and the picture quality is superb, but the picture now needs brightening.

My Sky HD remote operates the TV, but only with regards to changing channel, volume and picture width. Although the coloured buttons on my Sky remote "bring up" the on-screen commands for the entire range of picture/sound settings for the TV, I can't actually change them using that remote.

There is no drop down panel on the front of the TV that may be hiding some manual controls and the only panel at the rear is hiding some outputs/inputs for cables.

All help gratefully received.

Thanks
Before you chase down a new remote, just check very carefully that none of the buttons on your existing remote are stuck in the 'down' position. If this has happened it will disable operation of any other button.

Thanks Sputnik - they were all fully functional. The remote seemed to pack up quite quickly (albeit after the warranty ran out) compared to some remotes that I've had last for YEARS!
