has died on me - ex told me to 're-set' it - however can't find a re-set 'area'.. pluged it in to comp to re-boot it... nada!! is that is RIP my I-pod..?

To reset you need to hold down both the central select button and the bottom of the touch wheel for about 5 seconds.

tried what you suggested - nada!! I think it's the great i-pod graveyeard in the sky for this particular morsel!!
Actually to reset an iPod you need to switch the hold switch on and then off and then press the centre and top of the click wheel for at least six seconds, the apple logo should then appear and the unit reset itself.
