Is There a way of getting the windows vista installation files off of a toshiba recovery cd/dvd?

Hi,Does anyone know of a way of getting the vista installation files off of a product recovery cd rom and then burning them to a disk to make just a vista install cd without toshiba's bios or utilities

without seeing the image it's difficult to say ... but first thought is I'm not sure you can

Vista doesn't use an install (in the old fasioned way) it uses a standard image which is modified in the last stage of the process
so an install disk probably doesn't exist as such

the big mfrs do have the tools to integrate all their drivers etc ... but without them you'll have to search long and hard

I assume you are going to try to install to another machine ... and that isn't going to work either ... because a manufacturer's OEM version is activated to a particular machine and can't be transferred
