when i open my MSN e-mails. there is a column of advertising down the r h side of the page.
this narrows the message list so that after the senders name i only get one word of the message showing and have to open each message individually. can i get rid of the r.h. advertising

You can get rid of the adverts so you can't see them, there are add-ins for browsers that block them. For example, if you use firefox and install the ad-block plus add-in.

But it won't free the space up, you will just get a blank white column down the right hand side instead.

hold down the left CTRL button and roll your mouse wheel back and forth to adjust the text size and see if that helps.
