Laplink cable problem
0 Answers
Hi all
I have to transfer quite a lot of files between two oldish laptops, both running Windows 98. I've run the Direct Cable Connection wizard on both machines, set one up as the Host and the other as the Guest, and each computer fails to recognise the other. What might I be doing wrong? I used a laplink cable a lot some years back to transfer between a desktop and a laptop, and I don't remember ever having this trouble then. Sadly neither machine has a CD writer, and I've left the floppy drive from the host machine 2000 miles away! I will get it back, but not until after I need to have these files transferred......
