No Signal in House

A friend of mine cannot get a mobile phone signal in her house. If you try and ring her you cannot get through - she can only use her mobile in certain areas of the house.

Its a real mystery - both her neighbours either side do not have the problem.

Any ideas ?

Maybe her neighbours are on a different network ?

I don't think its a network problem - because if I have been at her house, no one can reach my mobile either - and we are both on two totally different networks. Very Strange !!

trees can mask a signal, i have a T mobile which is 100% signal strength i also have one on Orange which is unusable where i live

Do they have modern double glazing?

a lot of modern windows have a metallic anti UV coating on them which pretty much blocks all mobile signals.

The have wooden window frames and single glazing - they do have a tree outside their home though.

usually need to be surrounded by trees to make a difference
