slow loading e bay

my daughters PC for some reason seems to be really slow loading on E Bay other sites dont sem to be a problem, tried the obvious ,temp internet files etc,even doubled the RAM. any suggestions ?

Until yesterday, I had the same problem (I am also with Virgin). With me, it was not just ebay, but also the BBC and a few others. I could not understand it � I assumed the problem was at �their end�, because other sites were OK.

When accessing the problem sites, my modem activity lights would be off for an extended period, rather than flashing rapidly (as normal), showing data transfer. I was also suffering from crashes which occurred at the same accessing point on websites � meaning I could not access them.

My solution was to load FireFox (rather than Microsoft Internet Explorer) as my web browser. All problems gone now.
