for the techies have a gander ....
http://www.overclockyourcpu.co.uk/
... anyone believe this bloke is on the level (I wonder if he knows yogi?)?
as a bradford lad myself... (can't see where it says he's from bradford .... but then so was the ripper!)
do you want me to go round and knock on his door for a demo?

I don't care because my PC so UNBELIEVABLY FAST, that it'll outperform a PC worth thousands more hands down
yea reeet
No Additional Hardware Required
Sounds impossible (because it is?)
... trust me (I won't com... you know the rest!)
the bloke is (allegedly) either a complete con artist ...
or god - cause i don't know anyone else who could turn a clunker into deep blue
if he was so good he'd be worth 100000000s and overclockers would be queuing to kiss his ring
certainly not selling cr@p like this (allegedly)

Having read this guys claims I would definitely not fork out the cash. Extreme over-clockers do it for the challenge and not to save money. This usually involves uprated power supplies, uprated cooling systems (including water cooling and other high-tech solutions) and hours of fiddling in order to get the max performance without actually crashing the machine. So if you figure you can reach the sort of performance levels this guy is talking about by spending money on a book, and no other expenditure, you can forget it.
Although there are beginners guides to overclocking, which can produce some minor performance gains, there can be no simple guide to extreme overclocking as it depends on pushing each component to its limit - and this will vary with individual components. That is to say, if you went out and bought two apparently identical processors, you might well find that one could be overclocked to a much higher rate than the other. Overclocking is dependent in variations in the manufacturing process.
