My laptop has just run a check & found 'an older version of windows is using significant hard disk space' It was a new laptop with Vista home premium installed so what's going on ?

It looks as though it might have been upgraded from xp.
I`ve upgraded mine From xp to vista premium and there`s a folder in documents named windows old, which I`m leaving for now, but may delete later.

I bought it new & have had it just over a year , the scans have never shown this before
It`s likely that the store or factory have upgraded it, before you bought it. Don`t know why it`s only just showing up though
What sort of check was the laptop doing? Maybe it`s never done this check before.
I`ve just deleted mine by going into - computer- local disc C- programme files.
