How do I change a Virgin Media phone number ?

I Have a Virgin Media phone/broadband/TV package. I want to change my phone number.

I have waded through their website and can't find out ow to do it. I was going to send them an email via their 'contact us' screen - but it was too complicated to fill in at this time of the morning.

Does anybody know how I would go about changing my number. Is it via Virgin Media or do I contact BT?

Your phone is nothing to do with BT.

Phone Virgin on 150 and speak to them,

when my daughter took out virgin media the tel.no. allocated was a previously used one she ended up with all sorts of wierd foreign calls. She just rang them up and they allocated her a new one straight away.

Chas - when I got the number originally I had that problem. People phoning directory enquiries for the previous owner were getting my new number given to them.
