That doesn't take in to account induction hobs, which are the most economical type to use.

I use my gas cooker every day. (I use the hobs every day, the grill on most days and the oven a few times per week).. I've got no other gas appliances. My gas bill is always under a tenner per quarter (usually around �6 to �8), so it's certainly not expensive to use.
