My son has just gone to work in France for the summer.
He has taken his laptop with him. It had internet access whilst he was here in England but he cannot get the connection now. How do we connect to the internet in France so he can email home please?
thanks

by getting an internet connection - would seem a fair starting point

it's not done with magic ... most routers are good for 50-100 meteres

500 miles is pushing it a bit

A "mobile broadband" USB connection, maybe .. Just check the "roaming" charges and providers for France first before buying. It may be pricey!
phone his internet provider in the u.k. And see if they can tell you if they have a french branch et viola les internet!

They don't have overseas branches .. That's what "friendly" networks are. Networks that will provide a service, as they have an agreed relationship with a provider in UK.
