None of my three iPods have a big enough capacity to hold all of my 3,000 tracks as yours does so I download them as follows:
Connect iPod
When loaded, click iPod on upper line (showed by diagram)
Tick Manually manage Music
Click Music in left hand column (under Summary)
Tick Sync Music
Tick Remove & Sync
The boxes should appear and all playlists ticked should download to an iPod once syncing is carried out.
My computer operates on Windows 7 (converted from XP) and I have the latest Apple update installed which caused me no end of trouble after previously being able to select my iPod's playlists very easily.
