Freeview /NTL cable

Hope I'm in the right section. I have an NTL analogue cable box. Just the basic package. Can anyone tell me if a freeview box will work alongside it. Are they compatible?

You just need to make sure you have enough SCART Sockets and inputs on your VHS and Telly.
So, provided you have enough, I would confidently say you should not have a problem.
If you don't have enough, you can buy a SCART hub for about 20 or less.
If you only have analogue cable, you don't get the digital only channels such as BBC3 & BBC4.
I used to have analogue cable and a freeview box, I plugged the scart from the freeview box into my video or TV scart and the RF out from the cable box into the RF in on the video or TV. They both work fine!
Thanks for all the replies. It's an analogue box which means I don't get the digital channels as PeterPants said. I could upgrade to digital with NTL but it would cost an extra 10 per month. As a freeview box costs 50 approx I'd be out of pocket in 5 months. However, I've just dicovered that freeview is not available in my area yet. Which begs the question "why does my local Dixons sell the boxes?"
