iPod shuffle docking stations

I use my iPod shuffle a lot, but only for listening to audio books. I use earphones when out and about, though I find the in-ear phones uncomfortable and have a high breakage rate of the lighter type of over-ear phones!! I really want a good docking station, mains driven, whose volume I can control, for use indoors. Can anyone suggest a decent brand?
