reducing size of page

when my computer crashed last week I had problems in looking at websites and so therefore somehow I made pages larger. However when I reduced pixels the pages became more clearer but I cannot now reduce pages to normal. I have tried the usual Control Panel, display, also View Text Size but still writing is very large. Any help - thanks for any

View > text size should have worked!

Hold down CTRL and try using + and - to adjust the size (or hold down CTRL and use your mouse wheel if you have one)

thanks chuckfickens - I have done all that but while the page reduces it is still not "normal".
