Problems with winMX

I can't access winMX anymore. I have downloaded the latest softeware, but it just sits there flashing amber at me. Any suggestions what i can do? Thanks.

I just tried it and it was fine - if it keeps doing it I would suggest uninstalling it and starting again. Have you changed any settings or loaded a new Firewall or anything?

Hi kags. I have installed a firewall, but it has worked for several weeks after that, with no problem. I have uninstalled, and re-installed, but still the same, but thanks for your advice.

i would double check your firewall, its unlikely it would be anything else. You should find a list of what programs are and are not allowed access to the internet in the options menu. make sure winMX has full access. its easy to accidently deny access so i would check.

Potatoman - I did ask you suggested, and found out that my firewall had blocked access, but it didn't tell me at the time. I've unblcoked it, reinstalled, and it works! You are my hero, thank you so much!

good stuff, happy to help. If this happens again, you know what it is. Some times this happens without you knowing when you update fire wall.
