Help! I unwittingly locked my sister's phone when I was setting her computer up with a dku-5 cable and PC Suite. All I did was follow the instructions when PC suite didn't recognise the phone and turn it off while it was plugged in still, when I turned it back on it said "Restricted" and when you press undo it asks you for a code which isn't the PUK code from 02 or the security code included in the manual. Does anyone know how how to reverse it? I've tried those unblocking code generators to no avail and don't want to mess with it any more in case I lock it up completely. I'm going to try ringing 02 customer services tomorrow morning but get the feeling they'll say it isn't anything to do with them as onlythe SIM was from them and  the phone was from Carphone Warehouse. She has her SIM working normally in an old phone and I've tried my SIM in her phone but the same restriction is on there, so it is definitely the phone that is locked. I feel so guilty please help! Or if anyone has had it happen to them just let me know what you did next. Thanks in advance..

It sounds like the phone has been locked against the network that you sim is connected to. Phones can be locked against certain networks, it makes sure that if you get a phone on O2, only an O2 sim can be used. Not sure how this would have happened though.

Most independent high street phone stores should be able to unlock it, although I think this does void the warranty, of check with Nokia 08700 555777

thankyou, I actually took the phone to Carphone Warehouse today and they are getting their engineer to have a look, it should be ready to pick up on Monday but the bloke said if he couldn't fix it then they need to send it to Nokia and get them to fix it or exchange it for a new phone, as it is still under guarentee till december 20th (phew!)
