anti virus

My son downloaded a anti virus program which only had a months trial ,now i cannot get rid of it as it comes on with the computer .I have deleted it from the control panel and the menu but it is still there . Any advise would be good thank you

And have you actually uninstalled it? Only if you've just deleted reference of it, or shortcuts to it, that wouldn't get rid of it anyway.

As ACtheTROLL asks, it'd be handy for us to know the name of it. A lot of "free antivirus" programs are viruses or malware that masquerade as real programs and are, naturally, a bit trickier to remove.

simply super software trojan remover ,this is what my son down loaded

Start> run > type MSCONFIG >start up tab then uncheck the entry relating to this programme - should be obvious if not post back here

restart machine should not start with PC now

Next try deleting it again - if unsucessful post back here
