I have just acquired a betacom ppf 200 fax machine second hand - no manual for it tho!! I've connected it up, and have a dial tone, but nothing on the lcd display, it has a constant ticking sound, and nothing i press will seem to get rid of it. Sounds like it's telling me it has some sort of error, if only i knew what!! can anyone help??? thanks in advance.

ok..... I've put the paper in PROPERLY this time!! now its flashing up RIBBON END on the display, and won't do anything else...

hi kgmrush. do you send faxes or just receive them? The only reason i ask is that there is a free service called fax 2 email which allows you to receive a fax message converted to a pdf document and sent to your email address.
