I'm sure that I have seen a cartoon dog trotting across the computer screen with a letter in it's mouth for telling you that you have email, but I can't find it anywhere! Can anyone help please?

Press F1 and this most annoying creature will clutter up your desk.

Right click on it and go to "choose assistant" for some equally bothersome and disk wasting creatures.

What program is this squarebear?

Microsoft Outlook. It defaults to a paper clip but there are all sort of annoying people and things. They just include these to fill up disk space.

They appear in all Office Products as assistants as far as I know.
