Are you sitting confortably....then I will begin

The word is Trojan (based on the Trojan horse from history).

They are programs that are written to deliberately cause damage or problems with your computer (different programs do different things).

They can get on your computer in all sorts of ways, via the interent, downloading pirate software like music or films, as an attachement to an email, or on a CD or DVD that someone have given you.

That is what they are, now about your errors

continued....
Most people protect themselves from trojans and other PC problems by running software like anti virus or anti spyware.

These programs are usually run on a regular basis, sometimes daily, and will find trojans, and often get rid of them.

Some trojans are so bad special programs have to be written to get rid of them.

So getting rid of a trojan can sometimes be difficult and may mean you have to pay someone to sort out your computer.

However things are not as simple as that

continued...
While there are GENUINE anti virus and anti spyware programs there are also FAKE anti virus and anti spyware programs.

Some nasty people (criminal types) put programs on the internet that PRETEND you have lots of trojans or other problems on your PC.

They flash up all sorts of scary windows saying YOU ARE INFECTED.

They then say, send us 29.99 (or whatever) and we will give you some software to fix your problems (problems which dont exist).

So you may have one of these FAKE programs on your computer.

IF SO DONT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY.

So at this stage we dont know if your trojan warning is genuine or fake.

To be honest getting rid of some of these FAKE programs can be more difficult than getting rid of trojans.

My suggestion would be to ask a friend or relative who knows about computers to look at your computer and see if they can help.

In the meantime I would disconnect it from the interent and dont use it as you could be downloading even more nasty things.

Hope you understood all that.

The end.....and they all lived hapily ever after.

Well I dont think I could have put it simpler than that.

If you read each of my three appends slowly and carefully a few times I think it will begin to make sense.
