ipod stuck in recovery mode

my ipod is stuck in recovery mode,it restores thru itunes,just get usual msg IPOD in recovery mode,iv restored ipod it self,iv run chk disc,just keep getting ipod in recovery mode,is the HD fried? cheers in advance

I'm assuming you are using a PC. Some people who have had this issue have changed the drive letter.
