Need to remove Global Template message

Me again! I had lots of messages popping up on opening Word. Thanks to your suggestions, that's mostly stopped. Still one though: "The Global Template, NORMAL.DOT, is already open as an add-in". Okay, I get the message - so I cancel the message - it's there next time! I'm not presented with any other options, just cancel, or click the little x in the corner to close the dialog. Either results in the same message repeating next time. Any ideas?
