Since i got ie8 my pc has been running real slow and ive noticed i have 2 iexplore.exe running in my task manager this doesnt seem right to me one runs about 105,952 and the other around 10,040 i was told this is something that IE has done for some bizarre reason, but its driving me mad a lot of the time i cant use the internet because of it, ive done all my scans and stuff and run hyjack this and deleted the malware thing that was there but its not any better, has anyone any ideas what can be wrong and how i fix it

two iexplore.exe's is normal for IE8, it's called Loosely-Coupled IE (LCIE) and is explained here(if your interested in the technical reasons)
I meant to add on the end of that ^

If your computer is running slow it may be due to other reasons, whats the spec of the machine (particularly the amount of ram)

Right Chuck here it is

iQon Technologies
Intel(R)
Celeron(R) CPU 2.93GHz
2.93GHz , 480MB RAM
it's a lowish spec processor by todays standards, but still well up to most peoples needs (I'm typing this on a lappy with a 1.7ghz CPU)

but 480MB RAM, is simply not enough for XP to run well (you actually will have 512MB but your video card is "borrowing" 32MB)

I'd suggest adding another 512MB at least (1GB would be preferable, don't bother with much more than that though!)

Ok thanx for that Chuck, i'll start looking for deals, and yeah my pc must be about 5 yrs old by now, it is a bit of an oldie lol
