I have a Panasonic G10 42" Plasma which received a very good SD picture through my Sky+ box, good enough that the engineer who installed my new Sky+ HD box also commented how good it was. However, since the new HD box was installed, my SD picture has suffered. It has become slightly, but not overly, fuzzy, as if everything has two outlines! The colour has lost it's zing a bit, and faces look like they're caked in make-up! I've played around with the colour and contrast modes. I've set it to cool, cinema, dynamic, normal and all that. But it just ain't the same. I even changed the Sky HDMI lead, but that didn't change anything. The HD picture is stunning though, but as not every channel is in HD, I feel like I've had to compromise. Apart from going back to my old box, is there anything else I can do or try? Thanks.
Hi Chuck, thanks for your help. With this Information I managed to go to Picture Settings on my Sky HD box, then go to HD Res Output and change it from constant 1080i to Automatic. Now I seem to have best of both worlds when I select either an HD or SD station...perfect.
Thanks again.
