Is it a jukebox(with a hard drive, anything from 1.5 Gb to 20 Gb probably) or one with flash memory(128 Mb or a multiple there of). The software will convert the CD tracks for you. If you have no software just type 'mp3 convertor' into Google, there are loads to try for free on 14 day trial.
The mp3 player will need to be connected to the PC via a USB cable. I know it's obvious but make sure the player is switched on or is connected to your charger cable, whichever type you have.
Some software packages upload the tracks for you, usually into a category of your choosing(Rock, Classical, R & B etc) but if you have a flash memory player you can usually just drag and drop the files in.
If you get stuck again let us know what sort of player you have and we'll go from there.
