I've not used it, but this one is free: http://www.vccs.virconn.com/vcvl.htm . If it is a DVD collection you're cataloguing, this is highly recommended: http://www.intervocative.com/dvdpro/Info.aspx . The free version has ads, but it's brilliant!

I found a site called Major Geeks where you can download all sorts of Freeware/Shareware software. There are programs for just about everything. Not sure if there is anything to suit you, but you might like the link anyway.
